    The Production Supervisor is responsible for the daily production schedule, line crewing and general administration of multiple manufacturing lines within a facility to maximize productivity, minimize cost while maintaining quality. Train and supervise production staff.


    • Organize and assign all packaging personnel to production activities as indicated by the short term production schedule.
    • Direct all “On-line” quality control activities to ensure that all customer and regulatory procedures are followed and that all finished goods produced meet specifications. Ensure that required QC paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Communicate with Logistics, Compounding, Lab, and Materials on a daily basis to ensure the timely and efficient production of all our customers’ requirements.
    • Review short and long term manpower requirements. Co-ordinate with other production facilities, as well as temporary services, to ensure optimal use of all manpower while still meeting customer requirements.
    • Working with & communicating to the maintenance department, to ensure preventative maintenance, repairs, equipment inefficiencies are dealt with in a timely manner.
    • Conduct employee’s huddles, safety meetings, GMP training as required.
    • Complete paperwork as required. I.e. Time sheets, holiday/LOA requests Accident/Spill reports, etc.
    • Ensure that proper levels of Good Manufacturing Practices, Health & Safety and housekeeping are maintained at all times.
    • Develop and encourage a high level of employee involvement and continuous improvement. Constantly strive to eliminate non-value added activities.
    • Provide performance feedback and coaching for all workers on assigned shift. Complete or delegate and review the formal performance evaluations of all crew members as required.
    • Administer progressive discipline to crew members for infractions of company policies.
    • Ensure that the “On-Line” orientation and training of all new employees is completed in a timely manner.
    • Other duties as required.

    Minimum two-year degree or significant experience required in area of discipline.

    Must have strong communication and inter-personal skills.

    Effective decision-making and problem solving capabilities are a necessary element.

    Must be able to react quickly to problems in the Plant.

    Must work in accordance with all Health and Safety and GMP regulations.

    Must be able to lift, move and carry items (ie. products, skids, etc.) during their shift.

    Must be able to read, write and speak English.
