    KIK Custom Products, a $2.4B Global Organization, with 5,000+ employees worldwide, has an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor of our North American Accounts Receivable Team.

     

    Reporting to the Senior Manager of Credit and Accounts Receivable, the successful candidate will be a key member of the Corporate Shared Services Leadership Team. This is a highly collaborative role, as you will be working closely with Accounts Receivable Clerks, Billing Clerks, Cash Application Clerks and various Internal/External stakeholders under the direction of Management. The ideal candidate must be driven, extremely detailed-oriented, energetic, hard worker and a leader who inspires team excellence.  

    Responsibilities

     

    • Provide leadership to team members, and facilitates individual and group success
    • Responsible for providing on-the-job training, supervision and coaching to team members
    • Responsible for the management, coaching, and transactional hands-on execution of credit review/approval, collections, deductions and returns.
    • Conduct interviews for potential new hires and develop on-boarding plans for those hired
    • Identify, evaluate and implement development plans for reporting staff
    • Facilitate and participate in review meetings with management and direct reports
    • Collaborate with Leadership Team Members to support departmental goals and objectives
    • Maintaining existing and implementing new policies and processes
    • Support Senior Managers with special projects and workflow improvements
    • Develop positive working relationships with team, customers and internal/external stakeholders
    • Provide and review periodic reports and analysis
    • Assist in the collection and escalation process ad outlined, including making contact with customers to secure payments, payment plan or settlement
    • Ensuring team members are accurately processing and performing duties and responsibilities as outlined
    • Manage monthly reconciliation of GL to A/R Sub-ledger, Bad Debt Reserves and various other Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
    • Review accuracy of all reports and deliverables by staff
    • Assist with interim and year end audits
    • Maintain, implement and recommend effective internal controls and audits compliance with the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley
    • Participate in any Ad Hoc duties as required and assigned.

    Qualifications

     

    • Five (5) plus years of relevant work experience in similar capacity/role managing Team Leads or Senior Staff Members
    • Post-secondary degree or diploma with a concentration in accounting/finance
    • Credit Institute of Canada designation is a preference
    • Knowledge of deductions process, collections, and cash receipts, etc. within and beyond guidelines.
    • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, etc.).
    • Understanding of General Principles of Accounting
    • Experience using large ERP (SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle)
    • Ability to train, coach, manage, motivate and engage staff to continuously improve processes and meet deadlines
    • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to organize, delegate and prioritize the daily workload in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience performing accounts receivable functions in previous roles
    • Able to identify, evaluate, recommend and implement new technology and process solutions
    • Ability to handle high stressful situations
    • Experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods Manufacturing industry
    • Bilingual, written/verbal (English, French, Spanish)
