    The MRO Coordinator is responsible for purchase order administration, minimal sourcing, and implementation of supply agreements and/or purchasing strategic initiatives for Indirect / MRO materials & services within a specified region and/or location.  Other expectations include assisting in Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities, assisting with the corporate direction of cross functional teams in support of new or developing Indirect / MRO initiatives that drive cost savings.

    Responsibilities

    • Purchase consumable materials to support Manufacturing facilities
    • Coordinate purchasing administration functions and interface as the primary Indirect / MRO interface to all internal Customer requirements.
    • Drive and maintain compliance to purchasing policies and procedures so to support common Indirect / MRO strategies within a specified region and/or location.
    • Support the development of sourcing strategies, alternative sources of supply, and cost reduction projects.
    • Assist in the management of Supplier relationships, execute contracts, develop RFQ packages, and provide analytical support for analysis of proposals to ensure best value for purchased materials / services.
    • Support and monitor key supplier performance metrics.
    • Process purchase requisitions, purchase orders and overall maintenance of associated record keeping within the purchasing system.
    • Strong Team focus while demonstrating the ability to operate independently within your location.

    Qualifications

    • Must have strong written and verbal communication and inter-personal skills.
    • Must work in accordance with the Continuous Improvement Values.
    • Must have strong computer skills.
    • Must be extremely organized and able to function independently under pressure
    • Working knowledge of MRP and computerized inventory control.
    • Observing purchasing code of ethics is a condition of employment.
    • Good negotiating skills.

     

    Minimum Education Requirements:

    HS Diploma or GED

    Bachelor's degree or college diploma highly desired.
