    The HESS Coordinator provides support in various areas of the department with company environmental, health and safety compliance efforts as directed, including administrative support.


    • Data Entry: Accident/Incident Reports, trend reports, Near Miss reports, maintain SEE audit reports, training records
    • Coordinate the safety shoe and safety glasses program
    • Maintain First Aid Rooms with adequate supplies and update checklist for audit trail
    • Coordinate safety huddles for JHSC and supervisors.
    • Coordinate and attend monthly JHSC meetings, take minutes, post minutes and follow up on outstanding items with each supervisor to ensure action items are completed on a timely basis
    • Maintain JHSC Take2 safety checklists and SEE audit
    • Coordinate Lockout placards/SOPs
    • Coordinate forklift and skyjack training
    • Provide training for New Hire orientation, ensure paperwork is entered in the system
    • First Aid refresher Training, set up dates with vendor
    • Coordinate and follow up on Hearing Conservation Program Training
    • Provide Basic WHMIS Training, Bloodborne Pathogens Training and Health and Safety Awareness Training
    • Assist in maintain SDS in the system
    • Maintain waste manifest tracking
    • Plan and execute the Health & Safety Fair via JHSC

    Provide support to HESS Manager with various ad hoc projects that come upThe above statements describe the general nature and level of work only.     • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Occupation Health and Safety
    • In-depth knowledge with OHS Act, WHMIS 2015, TDG, MOL- Health and Safety Awareness Program
    • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Database, PowerPoint)
    • Excellent communication skills required, verbal and written.




    • Combination of office, plant and occasionally outdoor work environment.
    • Some exposure to chemicals, chemical products and high noise levels in the plant.
