KIK Consumer Brands – Pool Division
KIK’s Pool Additives Division (“Pool”) is a leading player in North America and key international markets with a broad brand and product portfolio spanning both the Mass and Specialty Retailer channels. Overview of Position:
Reporting to the Director of Pricing and Director of Finance, this position will work with multiple departments within the finance, manufacturing and sales organizations to track and reconcile promotional deductions to ensure timely and proper clearing based on existing programs and agreements. This position will also be responsible for researching and disputing non-promotional deductions. The candidate will be involved in business processes, will interact cross functionally and will have opportunities to enhance cost saving methods. The individual should possesses sound analytical skills as well as being enthusiastic, motivated and a team player. This position will be based in our Concord office.
Work with the shared service AR/Deduction team, MDM team and Sales Managers to manage overall D&A process
Research and reconcile buy backs, chargebacks, discrepancies and dispute unjustified claims based on reason codes and documentation provided by customers
Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders using a courteous and collaborative approach while trying to anticipate reporting and analytical needs
Monitor promotional deductions by customer, program and GL account and ensure that changes in programs are recorded timely and accurately (manual and auto accruals)
Ensure deduction accruals are cleared to the proper GL account
Assist in the yearend audit by providing GL reconciliations and corresponding supporting documentation
Monitor and reconcile buyback program accruals against actual deductions and product returns. Create a solution to minimize any differences
Calculate monthly commissions and rebates for brokers and customers to ensure payments are made timely in accordance to their contract terms
Ensure compliance with customer retail and distribution contracts by analyzing deductions and become liaison with customer and sales team to make necessary changes to ensure compliance
Respond to accounts receivable requests and inquiries regarding the customer programs and deductions and collaborate with them on collecting past due balances
Work with the freight department management team as required to establish consignee signature BOLs to help obtain repayments for unjustified claims
Collaborate with teams to deactivate broker and sales accounts that are no longer active
Resolve customer deductions that are in dispute and pertain to pricing, allowances, discounts, damages, shortages, and claims
Assist and collaborate with Sales, Accounting and Shared Services on creating the annual budget and quarterly forecasts for all D&A accounts
Compare actual deductions against budgeted deductions and explain variances
Provide timely and accurate reports to management, Sales Managers
