KIK Consumer Brands – Household Division Our Household Division (“Household”) is the #1 player in North American private label bleach, and supplies private label cleaning programs to prominent American retailers. Although Household started as a small bleach plant in Concord, Ontario, we have since expanded to a network of 8 plants strategically located across the United States to efficiently manufacture a variety of cleaners for both hard and soft surfaces. . In addition to its private label portfolio, Household manufactures and markets Greased Lighting® and The Works® branded products.


  • Assume complete ownership of the production plan. Ensure that requirements are addressed proactively and that issues are identified and fully communicated in advance with all potential solutions fully explored.
  • Develop quality weekly production schedules that incorporate optimal manufacturing sequences and lead times. Promptly modify the plan throughout the week as required.
  • Work closely with Plant Maintenance to ensure that Preventative Maintenance is properly and proactively scheduled.
  • Be an expert in production planning and the factors that influence a successful plan such as line performance, line capacity and seasonal demand.
  • Work with department managers to identify ways to improve plant efficiencies.
  • Fully utilize the planning system ensuring that data and parameters are accurate and used throughout the day to support quality plans.
  • Manage 3rd Party production ensuring that sufficient lead times are provided and requirements are met.
  • Maintain accurate Work Orders (both timing and quantity) to support quality material plans.
  • Identify and maintain finished good inventory levels required to meet demand and customer service goals.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure the success of the production plan including detailed involvement with Operations and Material Planning.
  • Work as a part of a team ensuring that communication is strong and all are involved.
  • Support the successful launch of new products, change of existing products and discontinuation of old products by being extensively engaged in the Master Plan process and working with Divisional resources to ensure goals and timelines are met
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required due to timeliness of information and internal / external customers/suppliers in multiple locations & time zones



  • 1+ years of progressive and successful planning experience, preferably for a manufacturing company.
  • Detail oriented with demonstrated ability to effectively manage complexity and work within a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Extremely proactive and forward thinking with well developed analytical skills and ability to identify capacity constraints and proactively plan production to satisfy requirements.
  • Strong understanding of Supply Chain Principles including capacity, efficiency, planning parameters, DRP and material planning.
  • Proficient with planning systems and solid understanding of how planning parameters impact system recommendations. Demonstrate a high level of accountability and ownership of a quality production plan.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications with a strong understanding of excel.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards is an asset but not necessary
  • APICS certification or other Supply Chain education is an asset but not necessary
